Few days ago I went to Mathaf to gain insight the astonishing art works from the famous Chinese artist, Cai Guo Qiang whose primarily uses gun powder as the medium of his works.

Among his many artistic creations, “black ceremony” is the only one that literally took my breath away. The theme was exploring death and homecoming, where the result from the explosion looks like drops of black ink scattered across the blue sky, instantaneously creating the black blossoms and slowly dissolving into the air. There was this moment of violence and destruction as the sound of explosion rattles the air, followed by the creation of mysterious beauty that caused my heart to stop beat. Ahhh~ I miss art :(

I don’t know why I always get goosebumps and chills in spine every time I see the immediate black smokes. It does reminds me death…and just like everyone, I’m scare of death during my blooming age.

‘Black ceremony’ was created from numbers of impressive testament to how a volatile black powder explosion can be controlled and shaped by computer. Isn’t that’s amazing?! It’s like computer can have relationships with anyone, anykind, anywhere ;)

This is so beautiful, it brought me to tears
